These initiatives will provide disadvantaged youth in the metro and greater Atlanta areas the resources needed to excel educationally. In addition, mentoring programs with a group of young professional volunteers will raise the self-esteem of these at-risk youth and give them the confidence to succeed later in life, well after the organization's support has ceased.
The objective of the WYS Sports Development programs will be first and foremost to support talented youth, here in the US and abroad, in the pursuit of competing at the elite level in their sport. In a parallel program, WYS aims to make elite niche sports opportunities available to young promising athletes here in the US in a variety of ways (exchange program, elite camps and competition or other). In a third step, WYS will support sports programs that target poor or disaffected youth, both domestically and internationally.
With educational and sports programs evaluated and implemented separately at WYS, the remainder of the organization's resources will be allocated to one-time or recurring community support programs that give youth of all ages the opportunity to be "world citizens" and be contributors to the welfare of their peers.
For those interested in suggesting programs or joining one of our many committees, World Youth Served, Inc. is continuously looking for new committee members to influence projects that benefit ALL youths of ALL walks of life, either at the regional, national or international levels. If you would like to join one of our committees, contact us and one of our staff members will get back to you.
